There are so many great blogs out there that I wish I had an extra day in every week just to sit with my laptop and fill my brain with pretty pictures and random information. Since there are only 7 days in a week - at least 5 for working and 2 for all the other stuff you do with a family, a home, some pets (and a crapload of laundry) - I don't get to browse as much as I'd like.
The few that I check regularly are Design*Sponge, The Sartorialist, and Oh Joy. They fulfill my diy, fashion/cool people in cool places, and random good stuff needs, respectively.
However, there is one I had forgotten about and plan on checking on more regularly. It's concept is so simple and brilliant and funny. I literally cry a bit (with laughter) every time I read one of her posts. It's called thx thx thx and is written by Leah Dieterich. She writes thank you notes. To random stuff.
They all start "Dear _____," For example, 'Dear random white hairs growing in strange places on her body", "Dear Vicodin", "Dear old ladies who have a sense of humor".
And my most favorite recent one: 'Dear pine tree growing in the sidewalk next to where I parallel parked".

I'm obviously not an early adopter of this blog since she's got over 7000 "likes" on Facebook. All the same, check it out if you feel like a giggle and a cry.
