Umbrellas in June

As we head into this blustery, rainy weekend in London I thought I'd leave you with these images of Deptford Cafe in South London - an old tube carriage turned into a cafe. I went there for some breakfast with friends about a year ago, not long after we arrived back in London.

What caught my eye today (as I searched for umbrella pics) were the parachute canopies over the outdoor silent film screening area - I didn't see them when I visited. If you have to stay covered from this incessant rain (it's June!!) then do it in style under pink parachutes.

This weather is killing me. Did I mention it's raining and windy and it's June? No? Oh well it's bloody raining and it's windy and it's June! Now I remember why we Brits are so obsessed with holidays in hot places.

Feel free to write me a note - I love getting them. It's a bit like getting an old-fashioned letter in the post. Thanks! x
