Two of them were really close to my house in North London - literally walking distance, which never happens. Of course on day one of the shoot I had to annoy a taxi driver with the shortest fare ever since I had all my props and couldn't walk. He wasn't too happy.
I took a few snapshots at my favourite, Lordship Park - 3 minutes from my house. It gets used a lot in shoots and is great because they've made each of it's 4 floors look quite different from one another.
I took a few snapshots in between shots. It's such a spectacular home and the owners are so sweet. The house used to be 4 flats and they slowly bought them up over the years and converted it back to one big mamma of a home. The husband, Brian Ayling is a painter so there are incredible pieces all around the home - portraits as well as some landscapes of our local park in N16.
I don't know what his wife does, but I can tell you she is really lovely and makes a mean Victoria Sponge cake, as seen below. It was a total treat with our afternoon cuppa. Very happy set builders (and stylist of course).
My snapshots don't do it justice and there is so much more to see. Have a look at the Lordship Park website and be prepared to be blown away. Really inspiring.
I'm off to Budapest today to style a home for the magazine of a very big, very well-known store (you probably all own something from there...) I'm not sure I'm allowed to say, but I'll tell you later. If you don't already, follow me on Instagram as I will definitely be posting pictures on my travels.
xx
