Sneak Peek: Modern Rustic

I promise all my blog posts won't be about my book from now on. Pinky swear!

However, I would like to share a few of my favourite images in case you haven't got your copy of Modern Rustic yet. The first are from the stunning weekend ski cabin of Hanne Borge in Norway. Hanne is the founder of the store Bolina where she sells all kinds of awesomeness. She very kindly let Cath (Gratwicke) and I stay there on our own the night before, so we could get an early start shooting. We survived a treacherous, snowy, and dark 3 hour drive from the airport (just!) and managed to get some beautiful shots. (Go back here to see my post from the Norway trip and witness my killer driving skills.)

And these are from the very cool home of potter and fashion designer, Tracy Wilkinson, in the hills of North East Los Angeles. (The cool part of LA and a stone's throw from my house there. Sigh.)

And lastly, the most amazing Dutch home of Larissa Seumeren, interior designer. This place was originally a collection of barns and outhouses converted over time into a sprawling home. It oozed style and personality.

To see more of these homes and many others, pick up your own copy of Modern Rustic. You won't be disappointed, I promise.

  1. Thanks for the peek at your book. Mine is slowly making its way from Toronto to Vancouver - perhaps lost somewhere in the Rockies? Nice to be able to see a bit of what is to come. And I'm always happy to come to your site and see you've posted!

    1. Thank you Janet! I'm trying to blog more I promise. I like to have original content, not just re-hashed rubbish. And that takes time! Thank you so much for buying my book. I hope you like it. x

  2. Great book! I LOVE the pillow with the rose in the first picture of Larissa Seumeren's home...do you know which brand/designer it is?

    1. Hi anonymous,
Thanks for your comment. I'm afraid I don't have info on the pillow. It belonged to the homeowner - I don't dress the homes with props when I'm doing books so that it's an accurate reflection of their taste. Sadly that means I don't know where it's all from. Thanks!

Feel free to write me a note - I love getting them. It's a bit like getting an old-fashioned letter in the post. Thanks! x
