Stylist, Decorator...Author!

Big news for me. The biggest ever really, career-wise at least. I've known since January, but it's only now become official enough for me to want to talk about it. I am beyond thrilled to announce that I am going to be publishing my first book with the lovely people at Ryland, Peters & Small. The same people who brought us Bazaar Style and Homespun Style by stylist Selina Lake and Flea Market Style and Modern Vintage Style by stylist Emily Chalmers.

At the risk of sounding corny, for me this is the realisation of a dream I've had for a long, long time. Some of my favourite interiors books have been from this publisher - they are the ones I've always turned to when looking for inspiration. You know how I'm always yapping away about real interiors, the kind that people actually live in? Well, these are the homes that feature prominently in their books. Gorgeous, stylish, homes of course, but ones with life and stuff.

When I moved back to London, by a serendipitous series of events I was given the chance to pitch book ideas to RPS. I pitched, they liked, we struck a deal, and a year from now (seems like ages!), it will be on bookshelves allover, we hope.

I can't say what it's about, but trust me when I say that it will be cool and stylish and inspiring! Shooting to start this month.
